My name is Collin Christine McShirley. I ate emotionally for many years. I didn’t always know I was an emotional eater until I received training to be able to identify it. I have a master’s degree in clinical psychology and am certified by the Centre for Eating and Dieting Disorders, and Healthy Aging from Boston University. I believe love heals. Learning to love myself and examining the reasons behind why I was overeating is what helped me heal. I know how you feel because I have personally been there. My goal is to provide the love, support, education, and structure you need so that you can love and support yourself. Change in perspective

This journal really helped me examine my eating habits. Tuning into the why-what-when-where of my eating made it so I could identify my emotions connected. Using this guide and the positivity and supported provided by the author really felt like she was on my team and I was able to lose weight in a healthy way. I highly recommend this program for anyone struggling with weight loss. The journal keeps me on track while I do the program. I really enjoy the motivational quotes on each page. About the Author
Dr Robert V. Rohli is Fred B. Kniffen Professor of Geography at Louisiana State University (LSU). He also serves as Coordinator for the Louisiana Geographic Education Alliance and as Faculty Director of the LSU Residential Colleges Program. His research and teaching interests within applied climatology are in hydroclimatology and synoptic-scale atmospheric circulation variability and its impacts. He also has broader research and teaching interests in physical geography, geography education, living-learning communities, and metacognition. Dr T. Andrew Joyner is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geosciences at East Tennessee State University. He has teaching and research experience in the fields of physical geography, applied climatology, spatial epidemiology, and geospatial analysis. The intersection of health, climate, and geography is of particular interest to Dr Joyner.

In this second volume of "unlikely look-alikes" drummed up by the editors of the irrepressibly nasty Spy magazine, a once bracing comic premise has become annoyingly tedious. The problem is simple enough: most of these "twins" and "triplets," separated at birth and now paired via photographs with their long-lost sibling(s), barely resemble each other. The various celebrities, politicians and artists pictured here are often matched on the basis of just one similar feature. Singer Carly Simon and basketball star Patrick Ewing, for instance, both possess large, toothy grins. Actress Glenn Close and George Washington share a cool, impassive stare. Making matters worse, the identifying captions accompanying the photos generally are devoid of humor. One caption reads, "Literary minimalist Raymond Carver and minimally literate Lee Majors?" Although there are a few gems amid the dross, like the coupling of Bette Davis with the Mean Apple Tree in The Wizard of Oz , this is a lame effort by a creative team that has run out of ideas.

These books were a gift for my husband...he picked them out for his Fathers Day gift. He looked at the photos, laughed until he cried, and went to bed still chuckling several nights in a row. It was a great way to wrap up his day. His sense of humor favors Jim Carey, The Russians Are Coming The Russians Are Coming, Raymond, The Honeymooners, and Andy Griffith. So if you know anyone like that, they probably will enjoy these books too.

A Must For The Gifted

In the realm of education, there exist relativly few resources that match this thick faux marble book in terms of it's coverage. I must grant that the information in the forward about the paradigm of evolution through common descent is not just old, but that it is clearly out of step with what the Genome project has confirmed about the Out of Africa theories. Oh yes, and the label applied to Homo Habalis, "1490 Man" is a cue alone to the age of this volume. But please forgive its anachorisms. This was, and remains a ground-breaking publication for Readers Digest, or any house for that matter, simply for all of the fields that it covers in such and interesting and lucid narrative. I started reading this at the age of 5. I can only hope that there is something comparable in the publishing world that would amount to an update on this. The Universe in a Nutshell by Hawkings is not enough. Get this for your kid, today!

This great book, filled with fascinating pages oh history and historical figures, is a must for everybody. I have been using this book for many years now and it has helped me in school work and projects a great deal. The Last Two Million Yars is an in depth book with excellent pictures and wonderfully presented information. This is definately a must!!! C'est très bon livre!

About the Author
MICHAEL DROSNIN, a former reporter for The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal, is also the author of two other New York Times bestsellers, The Bible Code and Bible Code II: The Countdown. More than I Thought

This is a wonderful piece of history and unlikely to be repeated in any other source. It recounts the latest years of Hughes' life, mostly those years when he was already confined into seclusion. As a historical source it also contributes quite a bit to some of the background of Watergate and other aspects of the Nixon years.

I gave this a five because it is written in a riveting manner, represents hours of research, and is unique in its historical coverage. It has made me want to read and learn more about Nixon himself and also more about Hughes as a younger man.

Excellent book

I read the hard cover version of this book in the 80s. I haven't read the latest paperback version here that has been re-released to capitalize on the Hughes biopic "The Aviator." This book picks up where "The Aviator" leaves off and therefore is primarily concerned with the time Howard Hughes lived as a recluse at The Desert Inn in Las Vegas. It was supposedly derived from thousands of notes written in Hughes' own hand. It is an amazing window into the mind of an eccentric (insane?) but brilliant man. The book is full of other gems as well, including details about how Hughes' people were involved in the CIA plot to kill Castro. The first hand reports of LBJ's cynical and self-serving support of the civil rights movement were especially interesting. I would highly recommend this book, as long as the content hasn't changed from the previous edition.

Hughes the Enigma

Michael Drosnin goes deep into the bowels of the Hughes empire and as a bonus, the deepest pathway into the Washington power elite. (Is there really and honest person in Washington?)Drosnin's technique for skipping back and forth through time was cleverly done through blending the characters names and incidences with subtle reminders. There are many names to remember and in the beginning I thought I may be "screwed" to remember all of them. But this was not the case. This read left me with truly ambivalent feelings for several characters but most of all Hughes. His total waste of his brain power through drugs and isolation and still his remarkable ability to be lucid when demanded of him is insight to the genius he once was. I wish I read this book when it was first published.
