Old Time Skill to Learn for the Modern Age

This is a great book to read and keep. There's a dissertation of what vinegar actually is and what commercially made vinegars are and aren't. It is totally comprehensive and analytical in its discussion of converting honey to vinegar and the health benefits to be derived . And considering the 'age' of this booklet ( printed in 1905, it's fairly short with only about 94 or more Kindle 'pages' ) , it's quite practical for most anybody today who would like to have a good, natural fully flavored vinegar for use in the home.
It's a great read even if you don't try to make your own vinegar but I fully intend to make my own with this book's help.

I found this ebook version of an antique text to be completely charming. It's short, just a few pages, but gives a terrific overview (and argument for) making vinegar from honey. As a beekeeper and vinegar maker, I agree with most everything the author says about the fantastic attributes of honey and its superiority over most every other sugar source in the world. This was a really fun read, and I'm happy to have it in my collection of weird old cookery books.
